Exedra (https://myexedra.app) is an educational platform designed for students, which may include users both under and over 18 years of age. We are committed to protecting user privacy and ensuring transparent data practices.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect the explicit information you provide during the account creation process. Depending on our signup form fields, this is limited to:

• Account Credentials: Your email address, password (stored encrypted), full name, and/or username.
• Basic Student Profile Details: Any optional profile fields explicitly requested during onboarding (e.g., grade level or school name).
• Technical Logs: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) used strictly for security and keeping you logged in.

We do not track your location, access third-party social profiles, sell your personal data, or track your activity across other websites.

3. Age Requirements & Student Protection

Exedra is designed for student use.

• Users under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions) must have parental or legal guardian consent to register an account.
• We comply with student privacy standards and do not display targeted advertisements or share student data with third-party advertisers.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is strictly used to:

• Authenticate your identity and secure your Exedra account.
• Provide access to student learning tools and saved features within the app.
• Send essential security notices or password reset emails.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your personal information is protected using industry-standard encryption protocols both in transit and at rest.

6. Professor Data

If you apply for a professor account, we collect a small amount of additional information for one purpose only: confirming that you really are an educator.

• What we collect: your department, academic position, institutional email address and any documentation link you choose to provide.
• Why we collect it: solely to review and verify your academic identity before a verified professor tag is granted, and to protect students from impersonation.
• How it is protected: this information is encrypted in transit and at rest, is readable only by the Exedra administration during review, and is never sold, shared with advertisers or used for any purpose other than verification.
• Your control: verification documentation can be withdrawn at any time by emailing exedrasupport@gmail.com, and deleting your account deletes this data with it.

7. Account Deletion & Rights

You have the right to request access to your data or request complete account deletion at any time. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at exedrasupport@gmail.com.
